About the Role Our Trades and Engineering Technologies department is seeking a part time Administration Project Officer to provide administrative support across the Vet Delivered to School Students (VDSS) Programs. VDSS programs are offered to over seventy local schools surrounding Swinburne’s outer eastern campuses at Croydon and Wantirna.Reporting to the Manager, VE-TET-SSP and work closely supporting the SSP Course Coordinator and VDSS Senior Liaison Project Officer you will provide administration assistance focused around the complete VDSS student-life cycle from enquiry to completion. You will liaise extensively with multiple VE departments at Swinburne, and professional staff at local schools, the VCAA and local Mullum Cluster and will exercise considerable judgement, initiative, confidentiality, discretion, and independence while interacting with all professional and teaching staff and students.About You To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: Demonstrated independent ability to work both collaboratively and flexibly within a team to work collaboratively with stakeholders across a tertiary sector institution to achieve outcomes Demonstrated commitment customer service for both internal and external stakeholders Ability to establish, maintain and manage systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective day to day operations of the department, including HR, financial and record keeping systems, and an ability to monitor compliance High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication, especially through online communication Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to take initiative and to solve / develop solutions to problems and issues Proficient in the use of IT systems and packages such as MS office, Excel, Access network and email systems and an interest in digital learning. Knowledge and understanding of the senior secondary and tertiary work environment Demonstrated experience in working in a busy and varied unit including the ability to take initiative and responsibility and to deal with information of a sensitive and confidential nature QualificationsPost-secondary qualification with subsequent relevant experience: or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.About Swinburne University of Technology Swinburne Horizon 2025 draws upon our understanding of future challenges.
