This is a blended Business Analysis and Data Analysis position best suited to someone with ERP experience coming from the Retail industry domain This is a newly created position to initially start in a daily rate contracting capacity for an experienced Techno-Functional Analyst (Business Analyst) who will be responsible for working with internal business stakeholders to gather and interpret ERP and data requirements coming from the company’s existing ERP and Retail systems, to then apply data analysis & data cleansing knowledge and expertise working at the systems analysis level, to work in a BA type capacity with requirements gathering activities and gap analysis type work with key stakeholders in the business. The ideal candidate will use their passion for working closely with data and ERP systems to provide ongoing insights, identify data errors and discrepancies to the business covering a range of requirements, where you will be responsible for conducting both recurring and ad hoc analysis work. Daily work focus & responsibilities: Understand the day-to-day issues that the business faces with their current ERP system, which can be better understood with data analysis to identify errors and transaction of orders coming into the ERP system from multiple sources across the business. Engage with relevant business stakeholders and partner with cross-functional business teams to gather and interpret their requirements, as well as performing gap analysis activities. Perform a variety of business analysis and data cleansing work when errors are identified in the system when it comes to ERP data archiving and data management - eg Transfer Orders. Create and maintain artefacts to capture requirements, business rules, validations and meta data. Working closely in conjunction with internal Systems Engineers and Business Analyst’s to support and deliver business data analysis and data cleansing solutions, leveraging SQL, developing SQL queries and using the advanced aspects of Microsoft Excel. Manage and report System Integration errors inbound to the ERP systems. Improve on the existing SQL queries currently being used and identify if improvements can be made with newly developed and designed SQL queries. Linking Tables and data to the reference data within the ERP and Microsoft Excel. Analyse and interpret transaction data flowing between the ERP systems and Excel. Skills & experience required: 3 years' Business Analysis or Data Analysis experience, being proficient in SQL & advanced MS Excel aspects, with data quality & cleansing experience. Proven experience working in business analysis (requirements gathering and Gap analysis activities), along with data analysis, data archiving and data quality management expertise. Experience working with Retail type ERP systems such as Oracle Retail, Microsoft Navision, Dynamics365 etc. Good experience working with Microsoft Data services such as SQL when it comes to developing SQL queries, along with advanced aspects of Microsoft Excel (V-Look up, pivot tables etc) Experience with business analysis activities when it comes to aspects of requirements gathering with key stakeholders, as well as Gap Analysis. Experience working with Retail industry (B2B or B2C) organisations. across multiple departments and divisions, as this industry exposure will certainly enhance your overall success in the role.
