What you'll be doing The Data Engineer role will be responsible for ingesting data into our modern data platform, assembling large, complex datasets and providing frameworks and services for operating on that data, enabling the business to deliver on reporting, dashboarding, marketing and advanced analytics initiatives. Develop scalable & robust data solution, pipelines and processes in Databricks, making critical business data available to users. Manage and optimise data assets for performance, scalability, reliability and cost efficiency. Ingest data into our modern data platform, assemble large, complex datasets, and provide frameworks and services for operating on that data Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, such as automating manual processes and optimizing data delivery Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data requirements and provide effective solutions Hands-on delivery of different software development cycles (e.g. Agile). Able to communicate with and report to the leadership on issues related to data technologies, data usage, project planning, prioritization, and timeline estimates. You'll be great in this role if you… Experienced in Cloud Data Warehouse services - Databricks (preferred), otherwise Snowflake, AWS Redshift or Azure. Also experience working with Python, Unix and Git (or other distributed version control tools) is highly desirable. Strong experience in designing & developing complex data solutions. Knowledgeable in relational and big data architectures, data warehousing, data integration, data modelling, data optimisation and data analysis techniques. Experienced in implementing end-to-end ETL processes/pipelines with advanced SQL on Cloud data platforms.
