The Project CPB Contractors and Downer EDI Works in a joint venture have been successful in securing the $1.18 billion design and construction contract for the Warringah Freeway upgrade. This crucial upgrade will make the Warringah Freeway more efficient and reliable through upgrading four kilometres of the Warringah Freeway, between High Street at North Sydney and Willoughby Road at Naremburn, works also include connections to the future Western Harbour Tunnel and Beaches Link tunnel projects. The Warringah Freeway is one of the nation's busiest and most complex road corridors and as Sydney continues to grow, the upgrade will make trips more efficient and reliable for the drivers who use it every day. Works are scheduled to commence late 2021 with the main work to start early next year. Construction is expected to take approximately five years to complete. Your opportunity We are seeking to appoint an experienced Contracts Administrator to support the Warringah Freeway Upgrade project based in Sydney, NSW. The role will support the project delivery teams with the procurement and contract management of subcontract packages, cost forecasting, control and reporting and assist with the administration of the Head Contract requirements. Your responsibilities in the role will include: Ensure payment schedules are processed in accordance with the Security of Payment Act Measuring and approving subcontract progress payments. Undertake monthly financial reports relating to cost and budget. Assist with construction claims and dispute resolution matters. Monitor any change during the construction phase, assessing effects on cost, measuring values and negotiating any variations. Source and execute subcontracts for the delivery of the project with a view to the project's long-term delivery target. Prepare site statements for review and discussion by the commercial manager. Be able to understand subcontract programmes and monitor progress and reporting the impact of any discrepancies. Ensure site records are retained on a daily basis. Our minimum requirements for this role are: Relevant experience in a contracting construction environment that engages in various sub-contractors Experience with a large construction projects as well as local project exposure Strong communication skills Ability to prioritise Excellent attention to detail.
