With revenues in excess of $440M, the business is highly agile & customer centric with product applications that service a broad range of segments and solutions that range from commodity supply of LPG for the residential market and SME's to highly complex and technical solutions for larger corporate customers. The Role This newly created position is designed to provide strategic (and hands-on) leadership, capability development and cohesive commercial direction to a large & diverse sales team in what is a matrix branch-based structure, the total team 120 including inside sales & customer service, territory managers & BDM's as well as highly technical subject matter experts and major customer managers. Breaking down silos to increase collaboration with a focus on growth, the role will be responsible for strategic planning and execution across a large and diverse customer base in a business that already has a great culture and ensure the sales function has the right structure by determining what's best for the business moving forward. Using data and analytics, the role will lead a change management process designed to enable the sales team to be more effective whilst building on the enthusiasm and passion, ie you will bring the team with you and lead from the front by removing roadblocks, improving processes and left the level of capability in the sales function through robust training and mentoring to ensure succession planning for future leaders within the business. Additionally, the role will also lead the marketing function and be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategy with a focus on increasing investment & ROI in digital, SEO, refreshing the website and Ecommerce platform. The Person You will be an accomplished and polished industrial sales leader who has a track record leading change or transformation in a large scale industrial services or manufacturing business, particularly with an understanding of asset utilisation in an operational environment. Combining both strategic depth with a hands-on approach, you will have led sales leaders with teams of at least 50 FTE and revenues in excess of $80M - $100M across a diverse portfolio of clients (both size and sector) and bring outstanding commercial acumen, strategic capability and a whole of business approach to leading change. You will also ideally have experience influencing outcomes such as CRM selection and implementation, input (or ideally ownership) to eCommerce and digital marketing improvements and designing the right structure, preferably within a branch based matrix or similarly complex large scale, blue chip business. Essential for this business is cultural fit with a leader who puts their team first, develops leadership capability and is passionate about coaching & mentoring, can lead change and bring teams on the journey of continuous improvement and collaborate cross-functionally to drive growth and customer outcomes.
