Our client is an ASX listed industry leading Retail company who is looking for a Financial Accountant to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and driven individual who will be focused on monthly reporting, statutory reporting, while driving process improvement initiatives within the business. Description Managing month end process including preparing month end journals and balance sheet reconciliations Preparing management reports including budget variance analysis and commentary Preparing the annual and half-yearly financial reporting Preparing BAS, income tax, FBT returns, and other ATO documents whilst liaising with external tax consultants Providing sound technical accounting advice to finance and non finance stakeholders Assisting with process improvement initiatives including internal controls and month end processes Ad-hoc tasks as required Profile 3-4 years' experience in Big 4 or Mid Tier accounting firm Relevant Business, Commerce, or Economics tertiary degree CA/CPA qualified, or close to completing Strong knowledge of IFRS and AASB Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, with good knowledge of pivottable, formulas, lookups Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability working alongside various stakeholders Job Offer Exposure to a high-performing ASX-listed Retail company A close-knit and supportive finance team A company culture that focuses on working flexibility, wellbeing, and talent development Genuine opportunity for value add and driving the financial performance of the organisation To apply online please click the 'Apply' button below.
