About the Opportunities Applications are invited for a Part-Time Evening Laboratory Assistant within the Microbiology Department at the Bowen Hills Laboratory Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology. Prior laboratory experience particularly in a microbiology laboratory or in microbiology laboratory techniques will be advantageous. Currently evening shifts are Monday to Friday 6:00pm -1:30am. A minimum of two shifts per week are required. Participation in a public holiday or weekend day or night shift roster may be required. The successful applicant will also ideally have: demonstrated interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills and the ability to work as an effective member of a team demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and work methodically and efficiently, whilst adhering to occupational health and safety policies demonstrated ability to provide excellence in customer service the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. the ability to become an effective team member and have a positive influence amongst other staff. a sound knowledge of computers and software. a commitment to Sonic Core values and understanding of ethical considerations.
