Description Casual work opportunities at Queensland Treasury Corporation Queensland Treasury Corporation ( Q TC ) is the central financing authority for the Queensland Government and provides financial, risk management and advisory services for the State. We manage the State’s borrowing program in global capital markets with a balance sheet of more than $100 bn. Our role is to deliver sustainable and cost-effective borrowings for our clients, which include Queensland Government, Government owned corporations, local governments, and other related entities . About the role The role will support the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) team in delivering high-quality projects and programs for QTC. It will assist the PMO team in planning, monitoring, reporting, and controlling project activities and deliverables. It will also provide the opportunity to learn and apply project management methodologies, tools, and best practices. Th is role will be on a casual basis , approximately 3 days per week, with flexibility around the number of days each week . Responsibilities & Accountabilities Assist the PMO team in developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and other project documentation. Track and report on project progress, issues, risks, and changes using appropriate tools and templates. Communicate effectively with project stakeholders and team members on project status, expectations, and deliverables. Support the PMO team in conducting project meetings and reviews. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the PMO processes, standards, and templates. Other duties as deemed relevant to business requirements and within the technical competency of the position. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in business analysis and portfolio/project management concepts and practices . They will be self-motivated, open to different types of projects, able to work effectively as part of a team and to creatively solve problems. Additionally, they will show c reativity and innovation in suggesting ideas and solutions for project improvement .
