Role Overview: As a Mechatronics Engineer specialised in integrating Mobile Refuse Equipment, your role centres on maximising operational efficiencies through the distinctive features of Electric Vehicles. Your primary objective involves seamlessly integrating our waste management solutions with EVs and Hydrogen Vehicles. This entails capitalizing on the inherent technology and functionalities of EVs to elevate both the performance and sustainability of our systems. Responsibilities: As the Mechatronics Engineer specializing in Mobile Refuse Equipment Integration, your core responsibility lies in seamlessly integrating waste management solutions with Electric & Hydrogen Vehicle platforms. This involves evaluating and adapting existing systems to leverage EV technology advancements, conducting research to enhance efficiency and safety, and collaborating with OEM suppliers for new equipment offerings. Your role extends to designing and ensuring compliance of detailed mechanical plans, supporting projects from inception to assembly, presenting findings to stakeholders, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and contributing technical insights for sales and marketing purposes. By optimizing designs, ensuring compliance, fostering innovation, and providing technical expertise, you play a pivotal role in enhancing the performance, sustainability, and market positioning of our waste management solutions within the evolving landscape of electric and hydrogen vehicle integration. Requirements: Degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Hydraulics Engineering or equivalent experience in systems engineering with a focus on integration and optimization. Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD; experience with FEA software ANSYS (preferred). Strong design experience and knowledge in design principles. Industry knowledge in municipal, agricultural, or automotive sectors (Heavy Vehicles). Understanding of interpreting industry standards and compliance requirements. Ability to work collaboratively within teams and independently. Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
