The Position St John of God Ballarat Hospital was established in 1915 and is the largest not-for-profit hospital in regional Victoria. It has 221 beds and provides an extensive range of health care services to residents living in Ballarat and Western Victoria. St John of God Ballarat Hospital is a private hospital and a division of St John of God Health Care, one of Australia’s largest health care providers. We are hiring an experienced Café Supervisor for Ballarat Hospital. In this role Responsible for the coordination and delivery of Café services at SJOG Ballarat hospital. Provides leadership and direction for Café caregivers and ensures the highest quality service is provided to patients, customers and caregivers. This role will be offered on a permanent full time basis, working 76 hours per fortnight. The successful candidate will have: A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care. Ability to deliver exceptional customer service. Demonstrated ability to create a collaborative team culture and support and develop caregivers. Excellent communication skills – oral and written. An understanding of and commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and cleanliness. Barista skills and experience. Sound knowledge of Food safety requirements. Cash handling skills. The ability to work within a strict budget and to read and understand financial and influence reports. Proven ability to provide effective, value based leadership and supervision to all caregivers and volunteers working in the cafe. Well-developed organisational skills, with the ability to manage own workflow and effectively prioritise competing demands. Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised.
