As a Design Engineer, you'll be a key player in delivering Civil/Structural Engineering Design work for reinforced concrete structures. Your role is pivotal to manufacturing, product development, and projects undertaken by Humes (the Precast Solutions & Products segment of Holcim) across Australia. From cutting-edge infrastructure solutions to sustainable environmental projects, Humes is committed to delivering excellence in construction Here's what you'll do: Create structural designs in compliance with relevant Authorities and Australian Standards, using recognized design principles and methods. Conduct independent engineering design and drafting checks on internally prepared drawings. Liaising with other engineers and drafters to deliver projects for the business Ensure that all designs meet internal Quality System requirements, understanding that designs undergo rigorous contract review, verification, and traceability. Provide technical advice to internal and external customers based on your product knowledge and suitability for the intended application. Stay updated on amendments to relevant Authority specifications and Australian Standards. About You To thrive in this role, we are looking for individuals who bring: Degree qualifications enabling Corporate Membership of Engineers Australia (MIEAust). Proficiency in Google Platform, Microsoft Office, SpaceGass, Strand7, AutoCAD, and REVIT. Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities. A strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively within a team. The capacity to prioritize tasks and meet competing deadlines.
