About the role Join our Platform engineering team leading our Observability and Performance team. The Observability team builds the platform that all Displayr engineers use to diagnose the health of their services at scale. Lead a team of 3-4 engineers initially with the capacity to further grow your team. Use your technical experience to help kick off major platform enhancements. Code review the work of your team members or peers. We estimate a 50/50 split between leading a team and being hands-on. This an ideal opportunity to have to best of both worlds whilst keeping your technical pencil sharp too Mentor your team, helping them to grow technically and professionally. Convert ideas to products and features in a highly collaborative environment. Participate in the recruitment of engineers. About You You have at least 8 years of solid development experience. 3 years of experience leading an engineering team. Experience managing observability teams. You enjoy mentoring others and helping junior engineers to advance their skills. You deeply understand the platforms and libraries you use. Your CV is full of achievements you are proud of. You are concise, clear, and courteous in your communication. You are curious and innovative. You take calculated risks and are not afraid of failure. Technical Skills TypeScript/JavaScript. C# or Java SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, or similar relational databases Any of the cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, Google Cloud (with Azure being strongly preferred) Comfortable in a DevOps environment, CI/CD tools Deep understanding of Observability Logging and Application Monitoring Distributed Tracing Metrics Collection Dashboarding Alerting Experience managing and running major incidents.
