An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Field Service Engineer ( referred to internally as Technical Service Specialist) to join our HIAC Core Lab team based in Perth. In this role, you will be exposed to all aspects of technical support and service delivery for your allocated accounts in this region. We utilise a predictive model of identifying failure before it occurs. We are looking for a technician that can adapt to this new model of doing service. 95% travel will be within Perth however on occasion, you will be required to travel to New Zealand and to other Australian states. Main responsibilities are, and not limited to: - Prepare and maintain detailed service and failure records, ensuring all documentation complies with legal and ethical requirements - Provide training on devices and equipment to technicians and Abbott representatives - Instruct customers in maintenance and troubleshooting procedures - Complete user verification checks and test equipment as prescribed - Maintain and adhere to Test Equipment calibration schedule as prescribed by quality policy - Ability to do Root Cause Analysis and escalate to the wider group for a timely issue resolution - Continuously strive to achieve positive results for our customers What you will bring to this role: - Diploma or trade qualified in electrical, mechanical or related field - 1-2 years of experience in a similar technical support role - Experience within the diagnostics industry is highly advantageous - A methodical and logical approach to problem solving - Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills - The ability to do Root Cause Analysis and the drive to achieve positive results for our customers and the Abbott team - An enthusiasm to repair and maintain complex medical equipment - Ability to build strong working relationships with customers and provide excellent service from a technical support perspective Due to the inherent requirements of the role, the preferred candidate must provide evidence of full COVID-19 vaccination before the commencement date and maintain a fully vaccinated status for the period of employment.
