Associate Director Electrical Engineer Permanent roleDarwin $200K package 2XM Recruit are looking for an Associate or Associate Director Electrical Engineer in Darwin. Principally, the focus for this role will be leading and managing project teams to design and deliver projects on behalf of our clients in both the Public and Private sector. In your role as Associate Director – Electrical Engineering, you will be expected to: Apply your electrical design expertise to single and multi-disciplinary projects. Deliver best practices and optimal outcomes for our clients, ensuring cost and time efficiencies. Mentor and guide engineers within your team, providing technical expertise and enhancing soft skills. Lead the design of medium to large-scale building engineering projects, overseeing project resources and delivery management. Maintain effective communication with external stakeholders (clients, authorities) and internal colleagues and managers. Cultivate strong client relationships and identify potential business development opportunities. Contribute to the overall development and strategic goals of our business unit. We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications and experience: A strong passion for the building industry, a desire to continually enhance your technical knowledge, and a proven track record as a trusted engineer. Familiarity with various Building Services disciplines and the ability to collaborate with team members to assess design solutions. A degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification. A minimum of 7 years of experience in the building services sector, with a deep understanding of Australian building codes and standards. A history of effectively managing competing priorities, prioritizing tasks, and meeting tight deadlines. Proficiency across a range of building sectors, including commercial, health, defense, and education. Professional Engineer qualifications and/or membership with Engineers Australia would be advantageous. A solid understanding of project finance and commercial aspects.
