About the role The IT Systems Administrator plays a crucial role in managing and ensuring the availability of both Cloud-based and on-premises RSC IT infrastructure, essential for supporting business functions and services. The role is responsible for maintaining system availability and provides support to end-used computing systems and applications. Key Activities Include: System Administration Execute system administration tasks encompassing both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructures. Maintain day-to-day system administration duties, including overseeing the internal network, managing printers, endpoint protection, VPN, Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP environments, and system backups. Lifecycle Management Maintaining operating systems and software solutions to ensure they remain in supported versions. Maintaining endpoint patch compliance. Undertake the commissioning and decommissioning of Cloud services. Monitor technology trends and provide strategic guidance on the integration of emerging technologies into our products and services. Operational Security and Compliance Follow appropriate systems, processes and methodologies to ensure effective monitoring, control and support of security services and tickets Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure IT continues to embrace security and apply security standards in line with the security strategy. Process Improvement and Innovation Contribute to the continuous improvement through people capability, process optimisation and technology improvements. About You Essential Experience in Administering Azure AD, M365 Services and AWS. Understanding of Cloud Based Infrastructure Architecture Ability to translate the world of IT to multiple stakeholders and end-users. Good understanding of all aspects of the systems/software development life cycle. Ability to analyse, isolate and interpret business needs and develop appropriate technical solutions. Desirable Tertiary qualifications and/or certifications in Cloud technology, IT or related fields. Working knowledge of Crowdstrike Falcon or similar Technology Experience with Meraki network devices and management, Kaseya endpoint management and GCP highly desirable.
