The role: As an Oracle Database Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing our Oracle database ecosystem. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the stability and efficiency of the IT operations. Responsibilities: Database Management: Efficiently administer Oracle databases within an Oracle Linux environment, particularly Oracle Linux 6. Database Migration: Execute seamless migration of Oracle databases, transferring them between servers of the same database version (11.2.0.6), while addressing post-migration adjustments. Testing: Conduct non-functional testing to confirm the proper operation of migrated databases. Functional testing will be carried out by our business users. WebLogic Server: Manage and configure the WebLogic server, which hosts essential applications such as Oracle Forms, Reports, and APEX. Data Protection: Implement and evaluate data and workload protection measures, including thorough backup strategies and recovery testing. Enterprise Manager Configuration: Configure Oracle Enterprise Manager, emphasizing alert setup through Enterprise Manager (version 13.4). Key experience: Proficiency in Oracle database administration. Strong experience in Oracle Linux environments. Database migration expertise. Familiarity with WebLogic Server administration. Knowledge of data protection and recovery best practices. Previous experience configuring Oracle Enterprise Manager. Desirable experience: Cloud migration experience, particularly with Microsoft Azure.
