Learn more at www.cargill.com Job Purpose and Impact The primary purpose of this role is to contribute to the accounting and internal control functions for the Finance function in Australia - with primary responsibility to the CASC/Geos business. This position will work closely with the Plant finance function. This position will be responsible for maintaining the ledger of the Geos business, Barley and Boortmalt trading books, making sure the ledgers have integrity in accordance with Cargill policies and are adequately reconciled. Ensure all financial reporting and the internal control framework is implemented to an acceptable standard. The position should be able to handle diverse cultural values and be able work well with both the Trading team and Plant Operations team. It will also perform secretarial filing duties for lodgements. Key Accountabilities - Execute on standard accounting policies and procedures of one or more processes such as RTR, OTSC, PRTP on monthly and yearly basis, including detailed analysis of the business results and communication of this to the commercial team. - Applies a comprehensive undersanding of the business to conduct standard financial analyses relating to potential projects and control framework. Explain the position based PNL to the Trading Team - Coordinate the external audit and regulatory filing requirements for the Business to ensure the ledgers is maintained in accordance with US Gaap and reported to Financial Reporting department in Cartesis on schedule - Preparation of month end management reports covering inventory management, fixed assets management and capex management - Facilitate the creation and transfer of information from subsidiary ledgers to accounting system and providing system admin and super user support for SAP - Business partnering with the PRO to determine key financial information to be included and analyse customer profitability - Lodgement of Annual financial statements, AFSL returns and other secretarial duties. - Contributes to the monitoring of internal control deficiencies/ risks and to ensure controls are maintained in line with Cargill policy and applicable accounting standards. Identify risk areas and raises issues to manager or supervisor. Measures and tracks compliance to internal global control framework. - Provide inputs to completing the CRP for the Geos and CASC, coordination of the external audit with KPMG and addressing any control issues. - Any other duties as assigned.
