Health and wellness discounts – fitness passport access, free yearly flu vaccinations, discounted health insurance, and access to our Employee Assistance Program for staff and their immediate family Salary packaging options About This Opportunity We are seeking a motivated, energetic, organised, reliable, and customer focused Administration Assistant to support the effective and efficient operation of the UQ Rural Clinical School, Rockhampton Regional Clinical Unit (UQRCS) Reporting to the Team Leader, the role involves a wide range of office coordination and administrative support activities. The role delivers high level customer service, reception and administrative support, including financial responsibilities, student accommodation and facility management. This position may include some out of hours work. Key responsibilities will include: Enhance student living experiences, as first point of contact for UQRCS students. Facilitate efficient functioning of the office’s day to day procedures and operations, in accordance with administrative protocols and standards. Provide high level customer service, reception, and administrative support, including coordinating committee/meetings/engagement activities, and briefing visitors. Administer relevant financial (for example, manage reimbursements and other expenses in line with university financial policy and procedures) to ensure the effective and orderly running of the office. Facilitate student accommodation requirements, for onsite and offsite locations. Actively facilities sit maintenance requirements. This is a full-time (100X%), fixed-term position through to 31st December 2024 At HEW level 4, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $68,735 - $72,968, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $80,420 - $85,372 annually. About You Candidates require effective administration, coordination, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Cert IV or Diploma with relevant work experience; Cert III with extensive relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated skills in providing a high level of customer service and effective interpersonal skills. Demonstrated high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Effective organisational, time management and problem-solving skills. Previous experience in a University or similar organisation with a focus on student / client services. Experience in and a commitment to living and working in rural and /or regional Australia.
