Job no: 994072 Work type: Full-Time Location: Melbourne - CBD & Inner Categories: Design & Development The role This is an exciting opportunity for a Textile Designer to join our Trenery Womenswear team. Working closely with our design team on the development of print artwork, you will create brand right artwork which is relevant to our customer, whilst in driving the print direction for our men’s and women’s apparel teams. You will interpret print runway trends and deliver custom artwork in line with customer and market trends. Key responsibilities Work with color direction given to create artwork in line with customer profile and seasonal design direction In collaboration with design team, identify the key print trends for our brand by understanding the customer profile Respond to trend service direction for print creation Assist in setting print direction for the season in conjunction with Head of Design Assist in identifying key runway trends and that would be appropriate for our brand Create innovative original prints and patterns to support seasonal and monthly concept presentations Select artwork from print studios for purchase to be approved by Head of Design Recolor purchased artworks, put artworks into repeat and execute color separations Choose pantone color chips for artwork Help design with CADS where required for monthly collections. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate Graphic/ computer based art & design/textile design qualification Previous design experience An advanced proficiency in Adobe Suite Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong relationship building and stakeholder management An ability to understand and execute to the brand direction/vision Why work for us?
