As a Bartender, you'll be an essential part of our dynamic and vibrant atmosphere, crafting exceptional cocktails and providing top-notch customer service About the role Takes responsibility for self education and study of food and beverage product information to display a high degree of professional product knowledge. Adheres to the hotel standards for cocktail making, always ensuring the correct measures and presentation. Responsible for running the drinks, cleaning tables, washing/polishing glasses and other basic food and beverage tasks. Aware of and observes the requirement of the liquor act as they relate to the hotel and Lobby Bar & Blu Bar on 36. Responsible for the par stock in the bar. Always maintains the bar in a clean and hygienic manner. Drives SFS and IS0 22000 and HACCP standards to ensure the highest level of hygiene is maintained, conducting regular training sessions, and ensuring all records and documents are updated. Recommends new and innovative cocktails to the bar and is fast and efficient in service to guests and colleagues. Records all breakage and spillage reports correctly and submits them on a weekly basis to the Service Leaders – Food & Beverage (Lobby Bar & Blu Bar on 36). Responsible for the beverage cost in the outlet. Operates the point-of-sale terminal according to established hotel standards. About You Proven experience as a bartender in a fast-paced and high-volume establishment, showcasing a deep understanding of mixology and cocktail preparation. Knowledge of various spirits, liqueurs, and mixers, as well as a creative flair for crafting innovative and visually appealing drinks. Able to thrive in a dynamic and often high-pressure environment, adjusting quickly to changing customer preferences and business needs. Fluent verbal and written English communication skills. Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate. Valid working rights in Australia.
