Wesley College Melbourne, a school of the Uniting Church, established in 1866, is one of Australia's leading and most respected co-educational independent schools. Applications are invited from innovative and engaging Design teachers for a full-time, permanent position, commencing in Term 1, 2024. This position in based at our St Kilda campus. The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and collaborative team of teachers working with students from Years 7 to 10 in the College's Middle Years Programme (MYP) focused on Design and Entrepreneurial thinking. As such, demonstrated experience in a Bachelors Degree in Design and industry experience will be highly regarded. You will enjoy producing creative work in the fields of product design and digital design to facilitate students in project-based learning from their initial idea to completion. CAD/CAM Software skills including Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk Fusion 360 or similar 3D modelling experience/expertise are essential. Experience using digital fabrication tools including laser cutters, 3D printers, vinyl cutters and systems knowledge is required. Additionally, the successful candidate will be someone who enjoys learning new technologies as they emerge and is excited to work within a curriculum that has strong ties to industry and real-life applications.
