Play a crucial role in enhancing organizational cybersecurity defenses and offering dedicated systems engineering support within an IaaS Environment The Role: Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud & Security Infrastructure Engineer to fulfill a crucial role in enhancing organizational cybersecurity defenses and offering dedicated systems engineering support within an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) environment, specifically in Microsoft Azure. Sydney Based / Permanent Hybrid Working Arrangements SecOps / Infrastructure / Networks The Responsibilities: Manage Vulnerability Management systems and provide reports to internal stakeholders. Ensure security tools and technologies are up-to-date to address emerging threats. Maintain and optimize IT Infrastructure server environments (physical and virtual). Monitor and improve the effectiveness of Cyber Security controls. Implement security controls to enhance compliance with the CIS framework. Provide guidance to the Cloud Infrastructure team for technical development and process improvement. Support operational, maintenance, and upgrades for various systems and technologies, including Citrix, Skype, SQL Server, Exchange, Microsoft Dynamics, EDR, Mail Filter, Web Filter, IDS/IPS, Firewall, and vulnerability scanners. About You: 5 years administering Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft SQL. 5 years implementing and administering TCP/IP Wide Area Networks, IIS Components within Windows Servers, and VMware hypervisors. 3 years implementing and administrating Skype, Teams, Exchange, InTune, and System Centre Suite. In-depth knowledge of MS Azure, MS Defender, Proofpoint, zScaler ZIA, and ZPA. Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001) and industry standards (e.g., NIST, CIS). Experience with Splunk or other cloud-based SIEM software.
