We have an exciting permanent opportunity for an experienced MLOps / Computer Vision Engineer to join the technology team of this scaling organisation. The role… Based in Melbourne, you’ll have a flexible hybrid work arrangement (2 days from home). You’ll be instrumental to the software engineering function applying your knowledge to vision based problems that includes object tracking & detection. Working in a multidisciplinary team, you’ll help implement the Computer Vision models that are in use and implement them in software. You’ll be key in writing user space Linux applications in Rust to integrate sensors and cameras. You'll also be interfacing with Nvidia Jetson Nano devices and You, yourself and why? You’re already a software engineer, but this role will extend your powers out to further explore the use of ML/CV. If you have at least 3 year's of experience as a machine learning engineer or computer vision engineer, we’d encourage you to have a serious look at this role. A solid understanding of Rust or C++ is a necessity. Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar At least 5 years of commercial in programming for Linux applications and a good understanding of OO design concepts Video, media or image processing background as you’ll be working on problems related to object detection and image manipulation Experience with cameras and image sensor technologies is highly desirable Experience with tools such as OpenCV and GStreamer As part of this team, you’ll receive a variety of rewards for your hard work.
