YCSS is a licensed, fee-for-service organisation providing specialist wrap-around support to children, young people, and families. We deliver support through our specialist therapeutic programs – Youth Konnections, Keeping Kids at Home (KKAT) and Quality Connection Counselling (QCC). KKAT (Keeping Kids at Home) works with the Department of Children, Youth Justice, and Multi-Cultural Affairs to provide holistic, evidence-based support to parents so their children can continue to live safely at home or provide assistance to families whose children are returning home after being placed in out of home care. About the Role The Family Support Worker plays a pivotal role in the provision of front-line support services to Children, Young People, and Families by implementing key goals and activities of the journey plan to achieve the desired outcomes, within the home environment and community. We are currently recruiting Casual employees who have a range of availabilities across a seven-day period. Shift lengths vary from day-to-day, between the hours of 6am and 10pm and be willing to travel throughout Ipswich, Moreton Bay, and Gold Coast regions. To be Successful You will have worked with Children, Young People and Families who have experienced significant trauma. Hold a Certificate IV or above in a Human Services, Community Services, Youth Services, or related field or have a Social Work, Social Science, or Behavioural Science degree (Sociology or Psychology) or be enrolled and have commenced study prior to role being offered. Current Blue Card OR ability to obtain First Aid (Valid for 3 Years) and CPR (Valid for 12 Months) OR ability to obtain Unrestricted Queensland Driver Licence You must have a reliable Registered Motor Vehicle with Comprehensive Car Insurance. Ability to complete and pass a Department of Child Safety, Youth and Women - Licensed Care Service Criminal History screening check – LCS2/LCS7 (P lease note that this check can take up to 4 weeks to be processed ) Why work for us?
