About the Role Reporting to our CTO, you will join our engineering team in a senior capacity and contribute to decisions that will shape the future of engineering at Displayr. Initially leading a team of 10-20 engineers with the potential to grow. Your teams will focus on our platform, cloud and DevOps capabilities and help uplift our deployment architecture and application performance. We would love you to bring some specialization and/or expertise in this regard. Use your technical experience to help kick off major product enhancements. Code review the work of your team members and peers. Mentor your team, helping them to grow technically and professionally. Convert ideas to products and features in a highly collaborative environment. Help scale the platform and make it more stable. Participate in the recruitment of engineers. About You Besides being an epic leader and coach, you are also a technical specialist. While not a hands-on coder, you have a good all-round technical aptitude. 8 years of software development experience with decent tenures of employment. 5 years of experience leading an engineering team with layers of leadership. Experience leading engineering teams of 30 Engineers. Bonus: You have led larger engineering teams of 50 engineers. You deeply understand the platforms and libraries you use. Your CV is full of achievements you are proud of. You are concise, clear, and courteous in your communication. You are curious and innovative. You take calculated risks and are not afraid of failure. You will be able to significantly contribute to design documents and complex software architecture. You are a thought leader in the industry. Experience working collaboratively with Engineers, PMs, and designers on complex problems. Technical Skills TypeScript/JavaScript. C# or Java SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, or similar relational databases Any of the cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, Google Cloud (Azure preferred) Bonus: Python, R, Rust, Node.js.
