Location: Parramatta Marist High School - Westmead Parramatta Marist High School is a Catholic school with a history and tradition spanning 200 years. Since 1875 it has been shaped by the Marist charism, one that flows from a basic trust in God and a desire to follow Christ in the way of Mary. Parramatta Marist is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher's Aide (65 hours per fortnight) to commence in 2024 and provide support and assistance primarily to a student with significant physical needs. This position could also suit applicants in a job-sharing arrangement. Specific Criteria: Ability to work with children with diverse learning needs as well as other students within the classroom. Display a patient, compassionate and caring nature. Ability to work effectively as part of a team - such as teachers, parents, external providers. Ability to be flexible and adaptable to assist the teacher and their students throughout the learning sessions. Training will be provided to assist the successful applicant to work with this specific child and the other members of the class, including toileting. Work 1:1 with a student with diverse learning and physical needs. Demonstrated commitment to student well-being and child safety. A current Working with Children Check.
