Due to the increase in newly awarded projects Monadelphous is seeking a Contracts Administrator to join our high performing Head Office team. As an integral team member, your base will be our Victoria Park Head Office, where you'll play a pivotal role covering R&R across a diverse range of high-profile projects, spanning Rare Earth, Lithium, Oil & Gas, and Iron Ore. This position offers a dynamic blend of office-based tasks with ADHOC site visits, making it an all-encompassing and thrilling role. Key responsibilities include: Drafting and negotiating subcontracts, administration, variation and claims including upstream recovery, through to closeout Participating in the review and assisting with the administration, negotiation and execution of variations and claims to client contracts and subcontracts Contract administration to support execution, including correspondence and contract notices and claims assessment Identify and maximise cost and schedule saving opportunities High level written skills with excellent attention to detail Involved in the process of identifying and raising potential risks or issues Providing a level of guidance and advice, to relevant stakeholders internal and external Interpreting contractual documentation and making recommendations for action Manage and build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships ADHOC site coverage for sick leave, annual leave and shutdown peaks Why Us? What you will bring: Site Construction / Engineering experience, with a desire to move into a more commercial role will be considered At least 3-5 years of Contracts experience Degree in Business, Law, Engineering or Quantity Surveying would be highly advantageous but not essential Demonstrate an understanding of current contract law, relevant legislation and its application to the mining and oil and gas industries Strong understanding of various contract models (lump sum, cost reimbursable, schedule of rates etc) Adaptability to provide coverage for ADHOC site travel to cover other Contracts Administrators during their annual and sick leave. Sound proficiency in the use of MS Suite (Outlook, Word & Excel) Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail Experience in a similar work environment and the ability to work autonomously as well as a pro-active team member in a cooperative environment Excellent time management and prioritization skills for a diverse and challenging workload An ability to engage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, subcontractors and suppliers Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, and we live by our promise: The safe way is the only way.
