Job Description The Lead Automation Engineer is a critical member of the QA team, responsible for designing, creating, migrating, and maintaining Automated: E2E, Functional, and API Tests across our Technology Stack. Right now, we're migrating our Protractor Typescript E2E Tests to Cypress (Typescript). We work in a modern, agile environment on latest technologies, and the Senior Automation Engineer is responsible for helping steer the growth of our eCommerce platforms by ensuring high quality deliverables each sprint. Key Responsibilities and Skills Build a New Automation Framework that consists of Cypress Typescript Automated E2E & Functional Tests for our eCommerce websites, which are migrated from our Protractor Scripts Implement (from scratch), Execute, and Maintain the new Cypress Typescript Tests with multiple Selenium Moon (AeroKube) instantiations (combined with cypress-parallel or similar) Implement and maintain the same Scripts with Chai, Mocha, Jasmine, mochawesome, jQuery, and Cypress API Plugins Work with Devs to setup the Test Suite via CI/CD Platforms like Bamboo or Jenkins (then Executing on a Schedule) Architect and build Automation Test Systems with a Team of Junior/Mid-Level Automation Engineers and with other Development Teams Maintain existing pre-Migration Protractor Scripts Analyse ways to prevent a recurrence of Automation Test Suite Bugs Identify bottlenecks in Automation QA and Development Activities and suggest improvements Assess requirements specifications for each Test Script that’s documented (in JIRA) by a QA Engineer, other Developer, or other Technology Team Member Document New Test Cases as Tasks in our Automation QA JIRA Sprint Board Peer Review Solutions from other Automation QA Team Members Actively participate in Scrum and Kanban Activities
