The Teacher Assistant is responsible to the Principal and works under the direction of the Inclusive Education Leader. Certificate III/IV in Education Support Assist teachers and students both inside and outside Learning Spaces. Assist with the supervision of small groups and/or individual students on activities, as directed by the teacher. Undertake specific tasks with individuals or small groups of students under the guidance of the teacher. Support the students and/or teachers in the use of technology. Assist students with physical and mobility challenges. Current Working with Children Check Highly Desirable Proven communication and interpersonal skills with both adults and children. An understanding of general educational processes and methods. An understanding of general health and safety requirements. Proven capacity to work as part of a team and be adaptable and flexible. Proven capacity to work independently. Established skills of creativity, initiative and good judgement. Proven capacity to work with children with high and/or additional needs. A good standard of numeracy and literacy with personal skills of accuracy, precision, organisation and planning. What is next?
