We are seeking a top performing Business Analyst who is passionate about combining analytical acumen, strategic planning, and operational execution to maximize the effectiveness of our Advertising Sales team. Sitting within the Sales Operations organization and playing the role of trusted advisor to our sales leadership team, the individual in this role provides sales leaders and partners with analytical tools and insights that serve as a competitive differentiator and driver of growth. This role will deliver a balance of leading, doing, and influencing, in close partnership with Sales and Operations teams as well as various partners across MSA such as Data Science, Marketing, and Engineering. If you enjoy solving complex problems in a collaborative cross-team environment, this role and this team may be just what you’re looking for Qualifications Required/Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field AND proven experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis OR Master's Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field OR equivalent experience. Experience extracting and manipulating data using SQL Experience creating data visualization solutions with Power BI, Tableau, and/or similar technologies Working knowledge of predictive modeling and data clustering/classification techniques Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.) Passion for continual learning, seeking solutions to new challenges, contributing to others’ success, and raising the collective capabilities of the team Commitment to upholding and advancing diversity, inclusion, and equity principles Additional or Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field AND 3 years experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis OR Master's Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field AND 1 year(s) experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis OR equivalent experience. Experience in sales and/or partnering with sales Experience extracting data from large/complex databases using SQL Experience manipulating data and building data solutions using Python or a similar programming language Experience partnering with executive leaders to drive organization-wide strategies Responsibilities Contributing to a shared culture of diversity and respect: Create deep connections within our communities, while fostering awareness and growth through an inclusive environment. Accelerating business performance with analytical insights: Contribute to recurring business reviews in partnership with Sales and Operations partners, including measurement of Sales performance/execution, generation and delivery of analytical insights, and recommendations for strategy refinement. Developing sales strategy: Leverage advanced analytical methods to uncover opportunities to better service customers and grow revenue. Partner closely with Sales leaders and cross-functional teams to drive and inform the development and deployment of data-driven strategic initiatives. Revenue forecasting and target setting: In partnership with Sales Leadership, Finance, and Operations teams, develop forecasts which assist in the setting of sales targets, and coordinate the distribution of sales targets from the market level down to individual books of business. Enabling scale and efficiency via tools: Drive process improvements and scaled tooling that enables easy access to critical business insights. Seek and activate on feedback from sales leaders and peers to continually improve tools and reporting capabilities, influencing upstream data and reporting partners as needed. Continuous learning and professional growth: Continually strengthen your industry and analytics expertise and contribute to the success of others by promoting mutual learning and sharing of best practices.
