You will be part of a global multi-disciplinary team, within the technology division of Macquarie’s Corporate Operations Group (COG). You will join the Data team as an instructional designer reporting to Senior Manager - Engagement and Learning. We are looking for a candidate to bring creative flair and technical expertise to learning design and the production of learner-centred experiences. Our solutions are both face-to-face and digital learning formats and their design is based on a sound understanding of adult learning principles. To be successful in this role, you will be able to form meaningful rapport with your stakeholders and build the credibility and confidence to influence new ways of learning. With a learning mindset, you will be able to work autonomously and design and deliver innovative, commercially savvy solutions to the business. Responsibilities Creating engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances learner experience Stating instructional end goals and create content that matches them Visualising instructional graphics, the user interface, and the finished product Conducting instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts Applying tested instructional design theories, practice, and methods Providing exercises and activities that enhance the learning process Creating supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc) Deciding on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop adaptive assessment instruments Maintaining project documentation and course folders To be successful in this role you will have: 2 – 4 years’ experience in instructional design along with Advanced proficiency in Articulate 360 Either a certificate IV in training and assessment or relevant tertiary education, Ability to quickly understand complex concepts and develop digital learning solutions, using Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Publisher Proficiency with adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe Illustrator as well as Adobe Audition is highly desirable. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex concepts using everyday language and target documentation to identify audiences. An appreciation of user experience design, including layout and visual design. Ideally you will also have: Knowledge of risk management frameworks and information management, which may include data management, records management and / or regulatory reporting experience.
