With a diverse portfolio of projects across the renewable energy and now the Power Transmission markets, they are going to be one of the companies leading the countries energy transition. With their exciting growth they are now looking to hire a Senior Secondary design engineer on a full-time basis to join their team in Sydney. As the successful applicant, you will have the following responsibilities: Perform concept and detail design for secondary disciplines, including drafting and studies. Conduct design reviews for secondary disciplines, focusing on protection & control, automation, and communication. Support the Engineering Manager in conducting cross-discipline design reviews, including safety in design, HAZID, HAZCON, HAZOP. Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Commissioning Acceptance Tests (SCAT), and bench tests as required. Collaborate with the project team, clients, and stakeholders to develop optimized and innovative solutions for secondary systems. Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of required equipment and materials for secondary designs. It is expected that you will possess the following skills: Significant local experience in HV and renewable infrastructure projects - essential. Essential knowledge and experience from the NSP (Network Service Provider) or Contractor side. Proficient in protection and control design, including load flow, protection study, insulation coordination, earthing, lightning, metering, Quality of Supply Monitoring (QoSM), and relay configurations. Familiarity with automation design, including SCADA Functional Design Specification (FDS), SCADA signal list, SCADA mapping, and Human-Machine Interface (HMI). A full job description can be provided.
