The Position St John of God Healthcare at Home (HAH) offers a range of out of hospital services including hospital substitution and acute and non-acute services delivered by a multidisciplinary care team of nurses, midwives, lactation consultants, allied health practitioners and support workers to assist clients recover at home after a hospital stay. The service provides more than 110,000 home care visits each year and provides nursing, midwifery and lactation support, and allied health services in the home. We are currently seeking a professional and enthusiastic Administrative Assistant to join our team based in Ballarat. The Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive and collaborative administrative support to the Healthcare at Home (HAH) team, in the completion of clerical functions for patient’s admission through to discharge and provide a high quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders. We are offering this position on a permanent part-time basis, working 18 hours per week. Days and shifts negotiable for the successful candidate. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team to achieve goals Strong computer skills including use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs and accurate data entry with attention to detail Previous relevant experience in a similar position or medical practice Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated commitment to customer service and patient experience. Sound understanding of the importance of confidentiality and patient sensitivity.
