As a Manager within the Legal Operations Transformation Services (LOTS) team you will play a key part in the team’s mission – to help our clients optimise the delivery of their legal services through the effective adoption of better operating models, new ways of working, and fit-for-purpose legal technology. Your Opportunity The role of operations and technology within inhouse legal functions is pivotal to on-going success and sustainability. The KPMG LOTS team are assisting the biggest and best inhouse legal functions in the country to: Modernise, right-size and digitise their service offering for the future. Assess their performance and maturity. Redesign their target operating models. Create and implement their optimisation roadmaps. To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills & experience could include: Experience in technology implementation and a strong understanding of the technology landscape available to inhouse legal teams. A passion for excellence, be comfortable in running multiple concurrent projects, and being part of team with varied but complimentary skillsets. A keen interest in legal technology, in particular the potential for AI based technologies to revolutionise the legal industry, would be highly valued. Strong stakeholder engagement, teamwork and project coordination capabilities. Proven ability to elicit and document business and customer needs, translating these to clear requirements, with experience in implementation. Ownership of various projects and initiatives, ensuring these are delivered on time and on budget. Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with curious mind and a collaborative approach to knowledge sharing. Strong Microsoft 365 skills (particularly Excel and PowerPoint). Desirable, but not essential skills include: Strong understanding of legal processes, particularly legal operations. Ability to be data-driven and derive insights from data to make business decisions or recommendations. Experience in developing automation solutions specific to the legal industry, particularly around contract lifecycle and workflow management.
