PRIMARY DETAIL Seeking an experienced receptionist to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment on a continuing full-time basis THE ROLE Salary Package: HEW 4 From $74,062 - $79,823 plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading Appointment Type: Full-time, continuing position Location: Macquarie University (Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde) About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced receptionist to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment on a continuing full-time basis. Working as part of the Clinic team, this role plays a key role in supporting the operation of the Psychology Clinic at Macquarie University through high-volume customer service and administrative support. This role is responsible for providing professional reception services including greeting clients, responding sensitively to queries from staff, clients, visitors and members of the public, and referring to other clinic staff as required. You will prepare and maintain paper files and electronic records and handle all client documentation with care and discretion, maintain effective Clinic financial services including general reporting, providing clients with statements, and invoices, collecting payments, issuing receipts and balancing and reconciling payments. In addition, this role provides administrative services to Clinic staff, coordinates mail and courier deliveries, organises and maintains the professional presentation of meeting rooms and monitors the appointment booking system to ensure optimum usage of Clinic rooms and facilities. About You You will have previous reception and administration experience. Experience within a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential. You will be an enthusiastic and professional individual who enjoys interacting with clients to provide best-practice customer service in each interaction. You will enjoy working in a lively environment, have excellent organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise work whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy. We offer accredited undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Psychology with the largest suite of postgraduate programs in New South Wales. The Macquarie University Psychology Clinic is a training clinic situated within the School of Psychological Sciences for students currently enrolled in the Master of Clinical Psychology (MCP) and Master of Clinical Neuropsychology (MCNP) courses. Students in the Master of Clinical Neuropsychology program also do placements at the Macquarie University Hospital. The Macquarie University Psychology Clinic (MUPC) is part of MQ Health. MQ Health is the Macquarie University Health Sciences Centre, an innovative patient-focused health system. It encompasses the Macquarie University Hospital, the MQ Health Clinics and the Macquarie University Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences (FMHHS) to deliver integrated clinical care, research and learning. The MUPC is one of the clinics within the School of Psychological Sciences (SoPS) in the FMHHS. The MUPC provides evidence-based mental health services including in-person assessment and treatment programs for Australian children, families and adults experiencing difficulties with anxiety, stress, depression, low mood, adjustment-related problems, childhood developmental problems and related conditions. Treatment programs are offered in individual and group formats. The Clinic also provides psychometric and neuropsychological assessments and career counselling. The collective goal of these services is to provide information, assessment and treatment services to facilitate children, families and adults to learn about their functioning, manage their symptoms, and improve their quality of life. Patients can self-refer or be referred by a health professional. A referral by a health professional is required for neuropsychological assessments. A cost-effective fee is charged for services provided. However, as the clinic is staffed by provisionally registered psychologists, it is ineligible for rebates through Medicare or via private health insurance Macquarie is a university engaged with the real and often complex problems and opportunities that define our lives. Demonstrated sound verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to build rapport with clients. Excellent organisational and time management skills with attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Demonstrated ability to be flexible and managing tasks at short-notice with high degree of accuracy. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft office applications. Experience with health-related software desirable, but not essential. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive team culture. Understanding of privacy and confidentiality principles.
