Brand: Healius Job reference number: 5724 Work type: Full Time (Permanent) Job location: Melbourne This role is working for Healius Pathology as part of a team developing a modern web application utilising Django and React, to replace existing systems used in Pathology lab workflows. You will utilise a combination of programming and analytical skills to formulate and define system scope and objectives, and in turn design and develop software components for the internal Laboratory Information System (LIS). You will be working closely with the Development Lead, Business Analysts and Test Engineers in developing the product direction. You will be expected to develop new features driven by business specifications, as well as address defects within existing code. You will be expected to work under time pressure. This role is a full-time, full-remote position with the option of hybrid in Melbourne/Brisbane. Company laptop/monitors are supplied. Key Responsibilities Software development and testing using agile methodologies Implementation of new features to meet specifications Address software defects reported by users Participate in code review processes Work with the software development team to ensure delivery of high quality software within defined timelines and budget Adhering to IT Frameworks (e.g. SDLC) and IT governance protocols in relation to coding changes, security requirements and deployments Required Skills and Experience Experience in Full-stack web development Experience in Python (Django), TypeScript/JavaScript (React) Experience in PostgreSQL/SQL databases Familiarity with software development and engineering processes Strong time management skills, able to self-manage workload and priorities Solid problem-solving, fault finding and debugging skills Other Skills Familiarity with Unix/Linux Familiarity with Docker, Git Understanding of Electronic Interface of HL7 Formats and standards such as AS4700.2 is desirable but not essential Healius is one of Australia's leading listed healthcare companies, we are committed to the wellbeing of our people, customers and communities which we serve.
