About the role: This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a professional team and enable impactful research. You will report into the Head of Legal and Research Innovation and support the Research Governance and Compliance Manager. You will also have the opportunity to liaise directly with a variety of stakeholders in your day-to-day including world-leading researchers, other internal support staff and external parties. Responsibilities: Provide administrative support to key stakeholders overseeing governance obligations, grants and research contracts. Be the first point of contact for incoming requests – replying and communicating or escalating as appropriate and closely following policies/procedures and regulatory requirements. Preparing standard form contracts for legal review, following up with stakeholders to ensure completion/approval happens on time. Updating the contracts database by uploading documents and entering critical details. Assist with risk management and compliance activities such as maintaining the organisation’s risk register. Support with updating the grants calendar and cross-checking grant funding and ethics applications against submission checklists to promote successful outcomes. Maintaining accurate records. Assist with collating data and preparing reports for key stakeholders. Essential Requirements: You will have previous experience in a research or other highly regulated environment and therefore understand the importance of, and be able to demonstrate aptitude with, attention to detail in such an environment. You will also have: High-level communication skills across a variety of platforms – with proven experience managing a high-volume of communication without sacrificing any attention to detail. Excellent organisational skills, previous administration experience will be a must-have in this role as well as experience managing competing priorities. Strong proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite. The ability to build effective relationships across a multi-disciplinary team. A growth mindset and solutions-focused approach.
