Your primary goal is simple - You will be accountable to deliver the continued environmental strategy and plan for the project, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and targets, to deliver a major infrastructure program as part of one of the country’s largest in-flight demolition projects. Reporting to the Project Director and Group Environmental Manager, you will ply your trade to strategically plan ways to keep air pollution; water and soil contamination to a minimum; reduce material waste while ensuring any necessary waste is disposed of in the correct manner. This role presents an amazing opportunity to gain exposure in the demolition and remediation industry as well as exposure to Surface Water Management, Treatment and Waste Management You will be trusted with: Ensuring compliance with all relevant Environmental Legislative & Regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, and relevant legal requirements Ensuring adherence to an Environmental Management Plans for the project and communicates it to project team members, including suppliers and subcontractors Supervising the installation of Surface Water Management and Erosion and Sediment controls Coordinating the transport for waste streams being taken off-site, waste tracking and collating documentation from the receiving facility Undertaking environmental sampling, monitoring, whilst continuously managing environmental monitoring equipment Liaising with clients' environmental Manager; Advisor; and all relevant stakeholders professionally Assisting with the development and iterations of environmental management plans Working closely with the project team to coordinate environmental works, including remediation, waste, and water management Providing information and reports for client/company reporting needs What’s In Your Toolbox?
