All Karratha-based roles offered are on a residential basis. Responsibilities Looking for an exciting new challenge? Yara are seeking applications for their 3 years fixed term role of Graduate Electrical Engineer. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Graduate Electrical Engineer sits within the Maintenance Department in the Maintenance Engineering Team. The position will work closely with the Electrical, Instrument and Control system engineers to execute reliability and maintenance jobs. Yara aims to facilitate and assist the graduate with completing reliability based projects and maintenance; and successfully complete all training programs and obtain a Chartered Professional Engineer accreditation. The primary responsibilities include: Understanding of Engineering and Statutory requirements for a Process (Chemical) Plant Demonstrate Excellent Leadership skills Understand and learn Planning, Budgeting and Cost Control processes Remote site awareness Demonstrate sound safety ethic and practices Ensure good house keeping The role will have the opportunity to learn and gain experience in following areas: Condition monitoring concepts Contractor management Root cause analysis Implement "Safe by Choice" actions in respective areas Ensure safety and planning Ensure and manage contractors' safety Ensure quality of JSEA and compliance to SSJA Job coordination with operations Analyse job scope Manage Preventive Maintenance process Department and workplace audits Ensure and maintain job quality Coordinate post job documentation Coordinate Work Packs/Job Checklists Prioritise jobs and working with deadlines Understand requirements of working on a Major Hazard facility. Profile Required: Strong academic performance with a Distinction average across all units in tertiary qualifications Willingness to learn and engage in the workplace (e.g. support 24 x 7 operations and to work after hours if required) Performs own work in a responsible way, minimizing the impact of potential issues and threats. Fluent English (verbal and written) is essential. Australian/New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency. Temporary work visa holders are not eligible for this role.
