Job Description The Project ACCIONA has been selected to deliver Western Harbour Tunnel – Stage 2, Sydney’s third harbour crossing. The new Western Harbour Tunnel (WHT) will connect to WestConnex at the Rozelle Interchange, cross underneath Sydney Harbour between Birchgrove and Waverton, and connect with the Warringah Freeway near North Sydney. Project scope includes: Construction of approximately 4.8 kilometres of mainline tunnels with three lanes in each direction Civil, Mechanical and Electrical fit out of Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunnels Surface level work, including on and off ramps and tie-in work to the Warringah Freeway In line with the above, ACCIONA is now looking for a Women in Construction Lead to join the Operational Services team. Reporting to the Social Procurement, Industry and Aboriginal Participation Manager at our main office in North Sydney, this role will be required to… Key accountabilities for the position will be: Prepare, implement and oversee Women in Construction programs including tracking and reporting on key metrics as outlined by the SWTC and Funding Deed. Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams in a large project environment to manage and ensure direct and subcontractor programs, reporting and compliance with project and Funding Deed targetsEffectively engage and manage multiple community and stakeholder groups including Department of Education, Training Services NSW, subcontractors etc. to drive female participation through both ACCIONA and subcontractor workforces. Participate in regular meetings with the Department of Education including with the Program Manager and the Women in Construction focused ISLP Community of Practice meetings. Work with Transport for NSW, Department of Education and ACCIONA communications and media teams to coordinate opportunities for media events. Required Skills and Competencies Demonstrated awareness and understanding of the NSW Government's Infrastructure Skills Legacy Program (essential) Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of key challenges, risks and opportunities for Women in Construction – (essential) Experience in the Construction industry or corporate social responsibility (desired) HR or training advisory experience within a site-based construction project (desired) Demonstrated contractual and commercial awareness, including competency in subcontract understanding and interpretation. Perform all duties in accordance with the project policies, processes, systems and procedures. Decision-making skills, e.g. quick thinking and confident in the outcome.
