Join us as Drives and Control Systems Engineer for the Motion Business Area where you will be providing professional, timely and high quality technical service and support for ABB Drives products as part of the delivery of Drives Service products and project engineering to ABB's customers, in line with the Motion Policies and Procedures. Reporting to Field Service Manager and this position will be based in Eagle Farm QLD , Australia. Your responsibilities Delivering high quality, technical and timely support to our customer though your technical expertise and superior customer service focus and providing commissioning, faultfinding and troubleshooting on drive and PLC product range based on your certification with a focus on ensuring customer satisfaction, high quality reporting and without warranty issues Providing high level competent telephone support for internal and external customers and taking ownership in the requirements to provide high level technical support for the ABB Drives product, industrial processes, drives applications and systems, PLC and legacy equipment Ensuring and understanding the service offering and can articulate this to our customers in each interaction. Be available for site and workshop work, to achieve target utilization (>80%) Ensuring safe working procedures and practices are followed at all times including the wearing and maintenance of assigned personal protective equipment, attendance at required health, safety and environment training; report injury, incidents, hazards and near miss events Following all OHS procedures, preparing JSEAs, Hazard Identifications, PPE requirements, PCIW requirements, workshop and site requirements Completing submission of field service reports, quality plans and other relevant documentation, including expenses Managing call outs and being on the on-call roster. Willingness to travel at short notice Delivering quality and consistency of all service work performed, through compliance to RMDR service process Your background Degree, Diploma or Trade qualified Electrician or Electrical Engine Hands on experience, along with knowledge and experience in maintaining, commissioning and repairing AC and DC drives and drives systems Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work autonomously without supervision is essential for success in the role. Highly organized, with the ability to priorities and plan jobs to meet customer requirements within agreed timeframes.
