What's the role? As a DevOps Engineer at Smartgroup, you will play a crucial role in managing the tools and processes that underpin our software development life-cycle. You will work closely with development and operations teams to facilitate collaboration, automate processes, and ensure the reliability and efficiency of our software systems. We are looking to hire a DevOps Engineer on a Permanent basis. This role can sit in the Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide location. Key responsibilities include: Creating and leading the direction of the DevOps function by designing solutions with technical experts, applying best practice methodologies, security and architecture principles. Engaging with project stakeholders, including technical leads, project and test leads, and others, to identify requirements, prioritise tasks and manage an effective backlog of work related to the CICD roadmap. Driving consistent application of CICD practices, toolsets, and technologies across the organisation. Expert in building and deploying CI/CD pipelines using Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps, including Bicep. Working with application teams to document requirements and deliver infrastructure as code (IaC) for application stack to ensure environment compliance, availability and security baseline. Developing proactive solutions that lead to a reduction in service tickets while maintaining operational health and following appropriate change processes. Developing and maintaining key internal and external relationships, including liaison with stakeholders on policy, project or operational issues and responding to stakeholder needs and expectations. Who are you? Someone who has proven knowledge of change management principles and agile methodologies. Highly proficient in developing CICD build and deploying Pipelines leveraging Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps(Bicep). Hands-on experience on .Net, C# and API Development along with proficiency in SQL Server. Someone that is fluent with API Management in Azure. Has ability to manage relationships and influence effectively within an IT team, and broader organization, at multiple levels.
