About the Role This role is a integral part of the kitchen brigade, and we are seeking motivated team players to help provide support to our team of chefs through basic food preparation and assisting with the cleaning duties within a fast paced kitchen environment In this role you will be required to : Clean dishes ,pots & pans and general kitchen equipment . Kitchen hygiene,hoses,sweep kitchen floors Washing worktables, walls refrigerators Removal of garbage to designated containers Transfer supplies and equipment between work areas, Assist Chefs with basic food preparation, and plating of meals Hoses, sweeps and mops kitchen floors. Adhere with all Blacktown Workers Club (Group) workplace policies and procedures; Be available to work evenings , weekends inline with the hospitality needs of our members and guests. Successful applicant may be required to undertake a pre- employment medical. About You To be successful in this role, you will require the following qualifications, skills & experience: Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills; Possess a "Yes, can do" attitude; Applicants must have a passion for working in fast paced environment. Ability to speak, read and understand clear, concise and fluent English; Basic math skills; Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices Ability to multitask and switch tasks seamlessly; Up to one-month related training or equivalent combination of experience; Ability to follow instruction; Ability to understand written and verbal instructions; Be able to demonstrate an understanding of WH&S policies & procedures; Have the physical ability to manual lift heavy objects using safe manual handling practices.
