Wenona is seeking a dynamic and passionate Learning Support Teacher (K to 6) to join our Learning Enrichment Team and inspire our young women through dynamic classroom practice, refined professional knowledge and a commitment to high performance. The Position This role plays a fundamental role in supporting classroom teachers meet the diverse learning needs of all students through planning and team teaching in a collaborative style. Key priorities for the role also include: Developing support documentation, including Student Learning Profiles, IEPS and NCCD. Collaborate and work with a broad range of stakeholders, including students, teachers, parents and health care providers to ensure individual student learning needs are met Administering and interpreting a range of diagnostic assessments This role is part-time temporary maternity leave cover to commence in Term 1 2024 for three terms until end of Term 3 2024. This role requires the successful applicant to be NESA accredited, hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check and to be fully COVID vaccinated. Wenona supports both academic and professional services staff to develop their expertise through initiatives such as Wenona Teaching Fellowships, Seeding Grants and ongoing outstanding professional learning that develops and supports career development into the future. About You To be successful in this role, you will have experience in classroom teaching or working as a Learning Support Teacher with a strong focus on the literacy and numeracy needs of students in K-6. You will be passionate about the wellbeing needs of young people and have excellent interpersonal skills as you collaborate and contribute to a team of professional educators. You will importantly have exceptional communication skills with an ability to engage and communicate sensitively with various stakeholders.
