Funds in Court (FIC) is a self-funded division of the Supreme Court of Victoria, managing funds paid into Court, primarily for people under a legal disability (beneficiaries). All funds are held, invested and administered by the Associate Judge of the Court who is the Senior Master. FIC provides support and services for over 7,000 beneficiaries. The Legal Services Section of FIC provides advice and support services to the Senior Master, the Judicial Registrar and Office staff concerning the administration of funds for beneficiaries. The Legal Administration Team is primarily responsible for payments in and out of Court and the provision of telephony and on-site reception services to Funds in Court. Key Responsibilities: Effectively deal with a range of clients, in particular persons with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and young persons who have been victims of crime. Dealing with inquiries at first instance from internal and external stakeholders, assessing significance, judging priorities and status and referring only those inquiries which need be referred to relevant officers in priority order. Perform a range of administrative functions to support the effective processing of beneficiaries' applications for funds, inline with FIC policies and guidelines. Assisting the payment out team with completing checklists and follow up telephone calls. Manage all communications via TouchPoint; Internal and External email; and Facsimile as appropriate About you: Experience in a high-volume reception environment is essential Highly developed switchboard and reception skills. Ability to work within a team environment and willingly support other FIC staff in the pursuit of optimal outcomes for beneficiaries. Experience of a call management and telephone control system (TouchPoint would be an advantage) Client management experience in the trustee or related industry would be highly regarded.
