The Company… With three Sydney clinic locations, the company is one of Sydney’s longest-serving pain management medical clinics. The clinic’s team of multidisciplinary health professionals provide comprehensive medical care to their patients in a nurturing and supportive environment. Each patient is provided an individualised treatment plan that aims to return the patient to a functional lifestyle, to reduce their perceived pain and to ensure appropriate usage of medication where required. The company is now seeking to employ an additional administrative team member to take on the position of a part-time Receptionist at their Wahroonga (Upper North Shore) clinic. The Position… The position is a Receptionist role that requires an enthusiastic and motivated administrative professional who is committed to patient care, exceptional customer service and providing support to the clinic’s doctors and allied health team. This position is a part-time role, requiring you to work 4 days per week (Monday - Thursday). Duties and responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to): Being responsible for day-to-day reception/administration services including patient scheduling, billing, scanning, filing and typing. Liaising with insurance companies via phone and email. Managing appointment diary effectively. Answering and responding to telephone enquiries and outgoing calls to confirm bookings. Meeting and greeting patients. Accurate data entry including updating electronic patient registrations and patient files. Processing payments at the end of patient appointments using EFTPOS, DVA and Medicare. Analyse problems and create solutions within a practice environment. Liaising with the Practice Manager and Doctor/s to provide day to day administrative support and taking an active part in working closely with other team members to manage daily tasks. The Ideal Candidate… The ideal candidate must have the following: Previous medical reception experience necessary (preferably in a specialist medical practice). Previous experience with Genie Medical Software. Previous experience with dealing with insurance companies for Third Party and Workers Compensation patients. Ability to learn rapidly. Skills in handling Medicare and health funds billing and rejection processing. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritise. Work cooperatively as part of a friendly team and independently.
