The Position All students at Wenona study a Language from K-10. The role of French Teacher is a rewarding opportunity to inspire in our students a love of the French language and ensure that further momentum develop behind the languages into the future. Wenona has a large Languages program with classes at Stage 6 in most of our 5 languages, including Extension level classes. Key priorities for the role include: Teach and aspire to the standards articulated in the Wenona Effective Teaching Cycle in collaboration with our team of professional educators Planning and implementing authentic assessments that informs teaching and learning Providing pastoral care and meeting the social and emotional wellbeing needs of young people Facilitate and enrich student learning and engagement in the classroom and beyond This role is full-time temporary maternity leave cover to commence in Term 1 2024 for a period of 9 months. This role requires the successful applicant to be NESA accredited, hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check and to be fully COVID vaccinated. Wenona supports both academic and professional services staff to develop their expertise through initiatives such as Wenona Teaching Fellowships, Seeding Grants and ongoing outstanding professional learning that develops and supports career development into the future. About You To be successful in this role, you will be passionate about the French Language with experience in teaching the French Language across Years 7-12, including Beginners, Continuers and Extension courses. You will be creative, flexible and have excellent communication skills with an ability to engage and communicate with various stakeholders. You will be capable of working collaboratively within a team environment and be committed to supporting the values of Wenona as you undertake your role.
