We have an exciting new opportunity for a highly motivated CAE Engineer with strong knowledge and awareness in Occupant Safety Design and Crash Analysis to join our team. Your responsibilities Correlate identify issues around the new process for crash CAE models Develop crash CAE models Ensure Safety needs are integrated into designs by upfront work with CAD and Design teams Conduct CAE analysis for a given sub-attribute, identify and report performance issues Resolve performance issues identified by CAE and physical testing through collaborative work with other Attributes, CAD, and Design teams Liaise with other teams to organize safety test planning at sub system and full vehicle level to verify design performance to targets. Support/Lead testing to demonstrate compliance to targets and feedback via formal reports to the organization Analyse test data and use observation to draw correct conclusions from the tests Track physical and analytical test results to program milestones Support development of Safety Attribute documentation and co-ordinate attribute response to other teams Requirements What we are looking for? 2- 5 years design experience working in either Vehicle Safety design or occupant safety design (including target setting, feasibility process and correlation), using commercial crash software. Competent in LS-DYNA, RADIOSS, and ANSA software Must have strong experience in dynamic analysis & contact modelling methods Must be able to develop an automated baseline virtual-phase report for LS-Dyna CAE analyses Must have strong experience in pre and post processing tools Strong understanding of how to set and achieve vehicle safety/occupant performance targets and how targets are developed Able to critique CAE, correlate CAE and analyse physical test results to seek out quality issues/improvements Able to take ownership, manage and lead the project team to resolve issues & achieve targets Able to clearly deduce conclusions drawn from analyses and test results and communicate to stakeholders effectively Strong understanding of design verification and process validation Strong leadership, excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills Team player who is able to work closely with senior occupant engineers, structural CAE safety team and other engineering teams to resolve design issues and achieve the program safety targets Proactive in training and building the teams competencies by continually improving the understanding of vehicle safety design, crash occupant kinematics, impact bio-mechanics and changing crash requirements globally If this is you then apply today Benefits Whats in it for you?
