What's the role? As part of the leading-edge team, you will work in a fast paced dynamic environment. You will help in designing and enhancing our large-scale Enterprise Backend APIs across different News Corp AU brands. You will be leading a group of world-class software engineers and developers and you will be focusing on system design, development, planning, and delivery of backend apis and microservices at scale that runs in AWS Cloud. Accountability & Responsibilities Lead the solution design process. Develop and maintain a Content API (CAPI) Platform. Play a key role in the iterative development process of our services. Collaborate with multiple teams to develop and implement engineering roadmap. Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes. Champion peer code reviews Identify production issue trends and suggest proactive remediations. Take an active part in incident resolution. Delivery and future-proofing services You will optimise code to increase availability, scalability, redundancy and performance Who are you? 8 years solid development experience with Java backend systems In-depth knowledge of the J2EE platform In-depth knowledge and experience in Spring IO and Hibernate 3 In-depth knowledge of the development and use of REST based APIs Experience with CI/CD processes Experience with the development of applications that runs in cloud infrastructure (AWS) Open mind to experience a new way of working where the customer is core to what we do The development of APIs to support the development of products through the relevant platform(s) and agreed digital interfaces.
