About the role: As the Control Systems Engineer (Treatment Plants) you will be an SME who contributes to the control and governance of Treatment Plants operational technology systems, provides elevated technical support to operational, maintenance and project teams, is responsible for contributing to operational strategies, change strategies and is instrumental to deliver our strategic approach to transforming operational data into intelligent insights for Self-Sustaining Treatment Plants. About you: To contribute to Unitywater’s values of Reliability, Safety, Honesty & Integrity, Efficiency, One Team, Innovation, you will ideally demonstrate the following skills and qualities for the role: Degree in Electrical/Mechatronics/Electronics Engineering coupled with experience specialised in operational technology systems, communication techniques and protocols. Experience in system integration, process control, installation and FAT/SAT testing, commissioning and fault finding. Advanced knowledge of programming and on-site commissioning experience of Siemens PLCs using TIA Portal and Schneider PLCs using Unity Pro/ControlExpert. Experience in programming Allen Bradley and GE PLCs (desirable) Demonstrated ClearSCADA/GeoSCADA programming experience Practical knowledge of configuration of communication protocols, Profinet, Modbus TCP, Ethernet/IP and DNP3. Good understating of telemetry-based systems such as Radio’s, Microwave and RTUs (desirable) Experience working in the Water/Wastewater industry (desirable) Demonstrated experience in engaging with internal stakeholders to establish requirements and scope of works Demonstrate a passion for Industry 4.0, cyber security, and real time data technologies to drive operational excellence.
